Context
The whole world is going through drastic changes in weather, temperature rises, and uncertain climate seasons. The cause is human action like deforestation, industrial action, burning fossil fuels among many others. These can be reversed through recycling, using clean energy like solar and importantly, planting trees.
Objective
A web app designed to promote positive climate actions among users by donating to plant trees. Also, improve the climatic conditions of the environment by intentionally planting trees

Solution Summary
Planting of trees has been said to tackle deforestation, desertification, and absorb harmful carbon from the atmosphere. In line with SDG 13 (Climate action) which says “Take urgent action to combat climate change and its impacts, the app is designed to promote, and encourage positive climate actions among users from the comfort of their homes and devices, by providing them with a means to plant trees and get more engaged with such activities without them physically being involved. While users donate to plant trees, a token of their money is converted to points, after a considerable amount of time, users are able to convert their points into Airtime, Gift cards or Data.
Methodology
Key findings
Through surveys and user research, i realized that although deforestation was a nagging problem in our society, most people are not bothered by it. Many wont even spare it a thought. Does that make the negative effect on society go away? No.
So, I, alongside my team came up with incentives to make users of the app much more concerned about climate change, and ultimately planting trees.
What this implies was that when a user signs up on the app, they donate to plant trees, a portion of their donation is converted to points. They can accrue points and later convert it to data, airtime or gift cards.
