Suggest a new product feature that would help Glassdoor acquire its next 10 million customers.

1. Clarify the scope of the question

How do you define new customers? Are we talking about job seekers?

Do you have a specific region/platform/user group in mind?

2. List the user groups and choose the one you’re focusing on

There are two types of users:

Employees

Employers

According to our goal, I’m going to focus on employees.

Employees could be currently unemployed or have a job.

Also, there are different expertise levels:

Junior

Middle

Senior

C-level

I’m going to focus on unemployed middle-level experts. I have chosen this segment because I believe this is a large group of people with high problem severity.

3. Describe user flow

Register – job search – vacancy view – send CV – set up – job alert – get notification about new positions

4. List and Prioritize user needs
