Me: Can you clarify the business goal for doing so? For ex: if the goal is to increase retention, I would prioritize improvements accordingly, etc

Interviewer: Assume it is just generic improvements for overall engagement

Me: One of the games I like to play is Plants versus Zombies mobile app. The game is a strategy game wherein you harvest different plants -each with various qualities- to fight different zombies. For ex. the squash literally jumps and squashes a zombie.

Me: Some of the opportunity areas for this game are:

– There is no community feature. I cannot share my liking for the app with my herd. I cannot team up with other players/friends to strategize a scenario. There is no leaderboard to see how I am doing with respect to the larger group of players

– There is no transfer between devices. If I want to continue to play the game on other devices, there is no sign-in and plug-in option to iOS

– There is no personalization. I cannot create an avatar and customize my profile to feel a better integration with the game

– Once the game ends, after multiple levels, there is no indication of what to do next. This leaves the user feeling an abrupt end to the game, with no sequels or upgrades to play.

– For beginners to quickly onboard to the game, there are no standard strategy templates. For ex. when you lose a level, there should be helpful tips to help beginners to complete the level so they stay interested

Me: Of these, if I had to prioritize, I would add the community feature wherein multi-player game mode could be enabled and you could choose your circle of friends to play with.
