OKR metrics

  • Assume you need to hit 100K users in 4 quarters. Acquiring new CC customer is hard so I stretched goal to 1 year target
    • In that case 25K users per quarter is you target goal, this give you a good idea on how you a pacing towards you goal vs actual
    • Number of new activations/day/week/month: You need to understand at what phase you are getting new customer every week/ month. This will give you a good idea for your quarterly run rate
Growth Metrics:
  • Source of activation: what is the your primary source you are acquiring new users (web vs physical email vs some other vs organic) so you can optimize any channel if you want
  • How many activations are failing: in a give month how many tried to enroll for you card, but they didn’t pass  and how many pass to get the credit card  (aka conversion rate)
  • Which region your cards are getting activated most, east coast, mid west, west coast, etc
  • Ontime payments: did you users paying the credit promptly, what is the % of late payments vs ontime payments (late payments make money for CC company due to interest rate)
Usage Metrics:
  • # of transactions: Is is there user using your card? what if you have 25k users and there is 1% usage
  • What categories are most used, food vs entertainment vs travel vs other
