To earn the trust for team members, you need to show them that you are concerned about their growth and benefits by doing below acts.

  1. Showing empathy
  2. Meaning and doing what you say
  3. Listen and advise where necessary
  4. Recognize your mistakes and admit them.

Earning trust of your team members is important for a Product Manager. Trust is necessary for effective collaboration. To Earn trust, things that I do are:

  1. Be empathetic and actively listen to your team members and their needs/concerns. When team members feel that you care about them and support them, they trust you.
  2. Give respect. Give sincere appreciation and also honest criticism/feedback when necessary.
  3. Be open, honest and transparent. When team members are kept in the loop, they are most likely to trust you.
  4. Cultivate accountability. Admit when you make mistakes or take wrong decisions. Believe in taking ownership and working towards solutions.

In order to earn team members trust you need to show – 1- You need to show them you trust them. Treat others the way you wanted to be treated. 2- Do what you say. Keep commitments. 3- Listen 4- Admit when you make mistakes 5- Consistently make good decisions
