Verified feature in Instagram showcases that a particular profile is verified for identity
I am assuming that the scenario is that the verified feature is not the paid feature as of now à Yes
Apart from providing the authenticity, there is a sense of celebrity quotient for the verified profiles

– Enable a platform for people to connect and build communities and follow and know each other
As a PM of Verified feature, I will set my product goal

To make the experience of engagement authentic
User segment
- Verified profile
- Uniqueness
- Ego satisfaction
- People following the profile
- Authenticity
- Right content for consumption
If I have to say that my product is making a difference, it has to deliver exponential value to both the user segments
Some critical KPIs
- % increase in monthly engaged user for verified Instagram profile
- # verify profile requests per month
- % increase in engagement metrics
- It could be either like, share, story, tagging, etc
For me the most important success metrics would be the increase in unique user engagement after getting verified vis-à-vis when being a non-verified profile
