During my research at UC Berkeley, I was part of an interdisciplinary team responsible for developing new diagnostics to detect deterioration of underground power distribution cables, a $2 billion problem. My role specifically was to develop models and design algorithms for test methods. My work in fault detection in Underground Power Distribution Cables led to Patent No. 20120306510: Method and System for Assessing Insulation Deterioration in Live Underground Power Cables and a few publications.
