Interact with FAA customers and PMO on a daily basis to implement and sustain the Low Altitude Authorization and Notification Capability (LAANC) UAS Data Exchange Program. Write requirement specs and collaborate on change requests for LAANC’s user interface using Jira and Confluence. Develop and organize tasks on Asana to support enhancements of LAANC-AP per new release. Conduct on-board testing for new customers to verify UX/UI operability. Present updates and estimated story points to the Change Control Board (CCB). Implement XML Airspace Schedule data for each case to accommodate all facility schedules. Verify and resolve 40+ Airspace overlapping issues to enable new grid cells and prevent further user complaints.

Design, Build, Fly

Collaborated alongside 16 other engineers to design a stowable RC plane that supports a rotating radome, deploys attack stores, performs 3 flight missions, and 1 ground mission. Computed structural loads on the wing using SolidWorks Finite Element Analysis. Created a budget matrix for the team to follow and reached out to potential sponsors for funding. Managed and conveyed part orders through Administrative Services and specific vendor customer service. Completed against 104 total teams from all around the world and placed 14th overall.

Engineering Intern

Responsible for creating and updating a contact materials matrix for each part spec on EXCEL. Added tolerances on CAD drawing and printing part Mylars. Approved purchasing orders by reviewing the engineering drawings, Bill of Materials, and Parts Lists provided by the customer to the engineering files in the database. Shadowed workers to understand how honeycomb parts get bonded and shaped by the CNC machine.
