Technical Product Manager

Location: Remote in the United States

BlueVoyant is seeking an experienced Technical Product Manager to join the Managed Security Services (MSS) Product Management team. The TPM plays a crucial role within BlueVoyant’s product development lifecycle, using creative thinking and technical acumen to develop products that will defend our enterprise and government customers from cyberattacks.

You will work closely with the Director, Product Management through all stages of the agile product development lifecycle from ideation through productization to develop the next generation of BlueVoyant security solutions for our customers.

Our ideal candidate has a demonstrated track record of developing and launching SaaS products in the cybersecurity market and is excited about the opportunity to innovate on our next generation technologies. You have a technical background and are comfortable with taking a leadership role in driving projects with cross-functional team members from Product, Engineering, and IT.

The products and solutions you will build in this role enhance our Managed Security Services, as well as deliver security value to customers directly as software solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Close collaboration with Product Management teams to understand business requirements driving new features and products
  • Close collaboration with Engineering and Infrastructure teams for design, testing, and iteration of new product features, identifying areas for improvement and new opportunities to delight customers
  • Design ideation and feasibility assessment for new product features and enhancements
  • Thinking creatively to translate feature requests into technical specifications for Engineering, Architecture, and Infrastructure teams
  • Development of technical documentation including specifications, tickets, architecture diagrams, and stakeholder presentations
  • Continuous assessment of current and new technologies, processes, and ways of working to help BlueVoyant continuously adapt to customer needs and market conditions
  • Special projects related to future product development efforts, including research and development in AI/ML and data analytics, as required

Ideal candidates will

  • Have demonstrable experience and a successful track record of developing products for the cybersecurity market
  • Understand cloud infrastructure, services, and concepts within multiple cloud ecosystems, including Azure, AWS, and GCP. Expertise in Azure is particularly desirable.
  • Have experience working with SIEM and XDR technologies
  • Have experience working with Security Operations and Engineering teams, including Content Engineering, L1-3 SOC, DFIR, CSIRT, threat fusion teams, and others
  • Have a strong understanding of software and platform development processes, including secure SDLC and developing on modern cloud application architectures
  • Possess some knowledge of Microsoft security technologies, including M365 Defender, Sentinel, and Defender for Cloud
  • Possess some knowledge of Splunk technologies, including Enterprise Security and SOAR/Phantom.
  • Enjoy working in highly collaborative environments, and thrive on rarely being the smartest person in the room
  • Have experience with Product Management tools including Atlassian suite (Confluence, Jira, Aha)
  • Be a strong communicator and motivated to learn something new every day

Qualifications

  • Required:
  • 5+ years of experience in a Technical Product Manager or similar role in the software and SaaS field.
  • Experience in the cybersecurity industry is preferred.
  • Experience with scripting languages including Python, JS, and PowerShell
  • Experience working with open architecture applications and REST APIs
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or equivalent professional experience
  • Desired:
  • Experience with front end languages including JavaScript, React and Node.js
  • Demonstrable experience working with Azure cloud services, including Graph API, Log Analytics, and Sentinel
  • Experience working with Amazon Web Services and Google Cloud Platform
  • Microsoft related certifications, such as AZ-104, SC-100, SC-200, or AZ-500
  • Experience working with Agile frameworks including Scrum, XP, lean, Disciplined Agile, or others
  • Cybersecurity certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CCSP, CEH
  • Demonstrable experience will be given preference over certifications
