We are seeking a talented Technical Product Manager to join our team who will be responsible for ensuring that our software solutions effectively meet the needs of our clients. As a Technical Product Manager, you will work closely with our clients and internal development teams, translating their business and technical requirements into technical solution designs.
This position can be done 100% remotely (must be within the U.S.) or in-person at our Charlottesville office.
Essential Functions:
Quickly understand new business concepts, operational processes, and technologiesBuild trusted client relationships as their main advisor for solutionsUnderstands technology domains and terminology (frontend, databases, APIs, microservices, system integrations, SSO, etc.); can assess and address technical risksUnderstand and analyze data pipelines, algorithms, and automated systemsLead multiple ideas/opinions from stakeholders to clarity and consensusUse appropriate mediums (visuals, flows, notes, etc.), to communicate effectively and efficiently with clients and stakeholders.Work with Solution/Software Architect to evaluate solution(s) to business problemsServe as go-to product evangelist and SME to client and internal teamsSupport Sales and Account Managers with project extensions or new prospective clientsUnderstand, research, and follow technical trends, assessing their potential value or threat to our clients and their product(s), helping them make informed decisions about which technologies to leverage and invest in to meet their evolving needs
Qualifications:
Experience with Agile Scrum methodology and custom software development life cycleExperience across multiple industries, functional domains (e.g., HR, Operations, Finance), and systems/productsFull-stack technology understanding (e.g. HTML, API, SQL, etc.)Ability to lead technical discussions with software architects/engineersStrong documentation skills, creating various design artifacts (e.g. Data Flow Diagrams, API specifications, etc)Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with clients, stakeholders, and development teamsStrong organizational skills, attention to detail, and adherence to specific templates, processes and guidelinesAn ability to identify process gaps and opportunities and contribute to ongoing process improvementAbility to multitask and operate independently and effectively in a deadline-based environment
