As the Senior DevOps Test Automation Engineer and Product Manager, you are an emerging leader who will nurture and scale our enterprise DevOps testing capabilities to accelerate AbbVie’s digital solution delivery. This position requires an individual with leadership potential, exposure to product management and significant experience in DevOps test automation. You will lead larger test automation efforts independently and act as a subject matter expert to team members on smaller efforts.You will be a key contributor in the establishment of a Product Model for our Test Management and Automation tool suite. Work with our vendors and team structure to establish a best practice and working model for Abbvie teams to adopt. This role will create and maintain the product backlog(s), provides the requirements for the release scheduling, and annual product funding needs. The product manager participates throughout the agile process by answering questions as they arise.

Mission: Execute on the long-term vision for our Test Suite, Tricentis. Take internal and external user needs and develop an annual product road map to address the current and future needs of our customers.Communicate priorities, risks, and decisions across a wide spectrum of audiences, from partner teams to executive levels.

Influence: Actively promote and demonstrate the value of Tricentis and DevOps Test Automation.Provide ongoing expertise on testing methods, practices, and related subjects. Research and stay informed about industry/practice trends and best practices and communicate within BTS. Network and build relationships with other teams within BTS-BTOs and AbbVie.

Impact: Drive decisions that influence the financial, resourcing and cultural impacts to BTS and AbbVie related to Tricentis toolset. Establish measures for monitoring success of the Product Lifecycle and making data driven decisions within the context of the Tricentis toolset. Actively participate in, and align with, strategic programs that involve manual and automated test initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Apply and scale your deep understanding of DevOps development test automation methodologies and effective software development principles. – Lead planning, estimation and implementation of test automation frameworks and strategies.
• Lead translation of manual testing scenarios to test automation coverage across multiple toolsets (Tosca, qTest, etc.).
• Develop and deliver enterprise best practices and standards for DevOps development test automation.
• Oversee the setup, configuration, and maintenance of automated testing environments.
• Effectively communicate status to stake holders and proactively locate and address concerns.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree with 6 years’ experience; Master’s Degree with 5 years’ experience; PhD with 0 years’ experience.
• Solid track record in the Agile/DevOps/Cloud domain.
• Specific points of desired experience that will help the right candidate “hit the ground running” include:
• Hands-on experience with Tricentis’s suite of development testing automation.
• Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps.
• Hands-on experience with configuration management tools.
• Hands-on experience with log analysis and monitoring tools.
• Experience with product management.
• Experience with vendor management.
• Experience as a team lead/coach.
• Experience building/leading a COE for testing.
