Overview:

 

Key product development and product line management position responsible to coordinate market needs with company innovation initiatives to increase sales, profit and market share for Adhered Façade and Wall Finish Systems portfolio. Leads Marcom, Channel Management, R&D and Operations teams to facilitate NPD efforts.

 

Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities:

 

Responsible for all functions relating to assigned product lines which include:

  • Responsible for assigned product lines P&L.
  • Responsible for driving overall revenue and profitability growth, market share gains.
  • Execute deep financial analysis, work with adjacent departments to improve product line financials.
  • Develop, maintain and drive productivity opportunity pipeline and projects through execution
  • Conduct market research via surveys, ethnographic research etc. to identify and define new product concepts as well as line extensions for assigned line(s).
  • Collaborate with international R&D & Marketing – coordinate product road maps and technology platforms.
  • Lead cross functional teams and “stage gate” process, to bring new products from concept to commercialization.
  • Maintain market share estimations and detailed competitive portfolio analysis for key competitors.
  • Provide line product forecasting for new SKUs and participation in S&OP process for legacy SKUs
  • Improve inventory turns and regular review and management of inventory levels.
  • Conduct annual SKU rationalization analysis and direct product cost down efforts.
  • Lead annual strategic planning process and execution of resulting strategic plan activities.
  • Responsible for all packaging, advertising, and other collateral materials for assigned line.
  • Develop content and lead product video recordings and social media postings in support of portfolio
  • Coordinate all aspects of product development and ensure compliance with ISO 9001 Product Development procedures, to include: R & D, Technical Services, Operations, Finance, Marketing and Sales Training.
  • Personnel management potential, direct report(s) – PM/APM
  • Performs other directly related appropriate duties and assumes accountabilities as apparent or as delegated, including mutually agreed upon objectives.

 

Job Specifications/Skills:

  • 6+ years of product management experience in building/construction products field
  • Exterior wall assembly products management preferred – adhered masonry veneer systems, weather barriers, continuous insulation and other exterior cladding systems
  • Knowledge of construction materials and techniques.
  • Highly proficient in product development, understanding of product development process.
  • Ability to lead cross functional teams.
  • Excellent communications & presentation skills.
  • Strong financial acumen.
  • Strong presentation and written skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Programs (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project).
  • Proficiency in Business Intelligence software for analysis.
  • Physical strength to lift and carry minimum of 25 pounds.
  • Second language preferred.

 

Minimum Educational Requirements:

  • MBA required

Travel:

  • Up to 30%, including international.
  • Must have or be able to obtain a passport.
