Role Purpose

As a Sr. Technical Product Manager, you will be a key leader for agile platform delivery in the Provider Insights organization. You will report to the International Business Leader of Provider Insights Platform, and own the roadmap and backlog for software platform components and services within our portfolio of digital health products. You will work closely with product managers across the portfolio to translate epics and features into stories and enablers for implementation by software solutions teams.

 

This role requires deep technical and product management knowledge to understand what and how platform capabilities and services should be leveraged by technical delivery teams to build new and existing products, accelerate solution delivery, improve scalability and enable interoperability across healthcare ecosystems. You will apply systems thinking, solve complex technology challenges and advocate a platform and API-first approach that works for both B2B and B2C commercial products and customers.

 

This role can be based anywhere in the US.

 

Key Responsibilities:
  • Define and drive platform technical strategy and roadmap, partnering with business product managers and many others to develop the vision, commercialization strategy and prioritized feature backlog for the digital platform. Evangelize and align long-term platform objectives between platform development teams, product & business teams and the broader organization.

  • Work closely with engineering and design teams representing the Voice of Customers on platform capabilities, timeline & task prioritization. Ensure that features prioritization are aligned to cross-product needs, larger strategic objectives and long term platform sustainability. Define success criteria for testing and product acceptance to ensure customer satisfaction goals and end user needs are met.

  • Groom and refine epics and features into user stories that fulfill the Definition of Ready for implementation and prioritization with definition of acceptance criteria that meet the Definition of Done in line with the customer and product requirements. Be accountable to trace technical requirements and stories to product requirements and ensure that developed features meet acceptance criteria. Act as the product owner for agile delivery squads.

  • Drive platform adoption by delivering capabilities & services that are the preferred choice of app developers with focus on understanding and anticipating technical needs, improve usability, ease onboarding, increase productivity and accelerate time-to-market of digital health applications.

  • Ensure platform capabilities & services can be easily interconnected with other platforms or systems for network effects, scalability and combining individual digital services into comprehensive end-to-end patient journey offerings. Provide domain knowledge to the development teams as needed in a timely manner.

  • Be a champion in solving customers and developer pain points by understanding and empathizing. Ability to identify the technical aspects that contribute to our customers’ and developers’ success. Understand, research, and follow technical trends in the industry and in general. Able to assess emerging products and companies to measure their potential value or threat to the company and its products, as well as make recommendations on which new technologies to invest in or leverage.

 

 

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline with 10+ years of experience; or Master’s degree in a similar field with 6+ years of experience.

  • 5+ years’ experience as an Agile Product Owner or Technical Product Manager.

  • Experience shipping enterprise-grade SaaS/PaaS or health-related technology platforms that are decentralized and highly secure is strongly preferred.

  • Experience with platform, REST APIs and services products and lifecycle management.

  • Experience with Aha, JIRA or similar backlog management tool.

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact with a wide range of stakeholders with varying degrees of technical knowledge.

  • Deep knowledge in cloud-based technologies, platforms and APIs, wearables and mobile is required.

  • Knowledge of the Healthcare industry and its activities, with familiarity of healthcare data and workflows is a great plus (e.g. FHIR, HL7, IHE).

  • Good understanding of software quality management systems and regulated software in industries like healthcare where compliance is essential.    

  • Experience with product development processes and methodologies for lean/agile software development of cloud and mobile products.

  • Able to foster positive partnerships through effective influencing, negotiation and conflict management skills to achieve alignment up and down the organization

  • Commitment to the organization’s new way of working through greater cross-functional collaboration and breaking down of siloes.

  • Experience with API or AppStore type online marketplaces would be a great plus.

For Colorado-based applicants, the expected salary range for this position is between $140K – $180K. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance. This position also qualifies for the benefits listed below.

For New York-based applicants, the expected salary range for this position is $153K – $198K.  Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors permitted by law.  A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance.  This position also qualifies for the benefits listed below.
