TRC Advanced Energy (TRC) is a nationally known energy efficiency consultancy. The Sr. Product Manager will lead the creation of product strategy and execution and will be a key contributor to the continued build-out of the TRC Advanced Energy product portfolio – focusing primarily on data tracking associated with energy efficiency and renewable energy programs. The Sr. Product Manager will work collaboratively to define overall product direction and ensure product roadmaps are in place and actioned upon; assure product quality is exceptional; leverage thought-capital to influence key internal and external partners; and continuously identify and monetize opportunities within the Advanced Energy portfolio. The Sr. Product Manager will work with customers, partners, and key internal leaders to continually refresh and refine the product roadmap to anticipate or outpace industry trends and maximize growth.
Key Responsibilities for Sr. Product Manager include: Engage with stakeholders to understand our most pressing business opportunities and priorities and work with them to produce a strategy, product roadmap and execution plan for digital innovation in the data management of energy efficiency, demand response and renewable energy programs. Partner with business stakeholders, including engineering to prioritize features and make strategic tradeoffs to deliver the best business value, move quickly and iterate to deliver scalable solutions that provide the optimal customer, technology, and engineering outcomes. Developing and owning product roadmaps including timelines that visualizes what will be delivered and when. Translating product strategy into planned work including development of market requirements as well as product requirements including definition of CTQs. Managing the release process and cross-functional dependencies of all the activities required to bring new features and functionality to the market. Developing product messaging and serving as the product expert in key sales opportunities. Build and leverage deep business domain expertise, product and technical knowledge to translate business problems into strategic product roadmaps, requirements, and insights, including long-term vision, for end-to-end solution delivery. Effectively engage with technical teams to deliver features with minimal ambiguity and clear use cases/acceptance criteria; include/exclude the right set of user stories to deliver the most impact. Key Activities for the Sr. Product Manager: Collaborate and influence cross-functional teams, including engineering, program management, data engineering, QA/testing, etc. to deliver high quality solutions, on-time and on-budget. Clearly communicate the status of ideas back to your customers, partners, and internal teammates who submitted them. Prioritize features by ranking them against the strategic goals and initiatives. Ability to develop and carry out targeted plans to influence decisions of key customer decision makers based on their unique concerns and interests. Ability to “see” stories in data and weave it into a convincing narrative; understanding of ‘Personas’ and how to identify users and create personas to represent them.
Requirements
Education/Qualifications:
5 Years related experience in Software Product Management related to energy efficiency and/or renewable energy data tracking systems. Strong financial aptitude, a plus Strong knowledge of the use of software applications (Excel, PowerPoint), databases, and spreadsheets. Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as interpersonal communication skills. Always display a high level of professionalism: including accurate work, attention to detail, independent critical thinking, etc. Effective personal time management to meet deadlines. Ability to effectively multi-task to complete project work and special projects as required. Must be extremely organized and be able to work with many different departments and people. Excellent analytical skills.
Able to successfully direct the activities and goals of technically oriented employees to accomplish company objectives. In accordance with local law, the following compensation range is applicable for the job and location associated with this requisition: $140,000- $180,000. Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, and other compensable factors.
