Salary Range:$105,000.00-$120,000.00

Requirements
Summary:
This position is responsible for developing and implementing the strategic plan/vision to ensure the profitability, viability, sustainability and growth of the Abrasives Product Category (focusing on metal working) for both the Forney® (Retail) and Industrial Pro® (Industrial) Divisions of Forney Industries®. This position conducts studies, research and evaluation of new products and their potential, conducts profitability analysis on new product ideas, and ultimately directs the development and launch of new product ideas and enhancements of existing products.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Forney Industries® retail and industrial market and channel expert for the Abrasives Product Category.Participates in annual strategic planning and the development of the vision/path for the Abrasives Product Category. Responsible for leading a multi-departmental Team(s) consisting of New Products & Business Development, Operations, Sales & Marketing (Retail and Industrial) and Corporate Services to ensure agreement, cooperation and execution of the Abrasives Product Category strategic vision/path.Responsible for all Abrasives Product Category pricing to ensure market and channel competitiveness and achieve annual growth and margin projections/requirements.Works directly with Sales & Marketing to develop Go-To-Market plans (including marketing materials), forecasts and to provide direct support to Field Sales, National Accounts and Industrial Sales to gain and maintain increased market share.Works closely with Procurement to ensure proper product sourcing, quality levels, costing and inventory levels are maintained.Responsible for leading, mentoring, developing and training subordinate Product Line Managers (PLM), and Product Analysts (PA) Responsible for annual Abrasive Product Line Reviews.Maintain knowledge of market conditions for the Abrasives Product Category. Anticipate market changes and recommend/implement appropriate actions.Partner and collaborate closely with Sales, Procurement, Operations, Quality, Transportation, Engineering and Customer Service departments to align processes, create efficiencies and increase customer satisfaction.Perform other duties as assigned or required.
Education And/or Experience
Minimum of 10-years (20-years desired) actual work experience in the Abrasives Industry focusing on metal working.
Other Skills And Abilities
Able to work effectively with multi-department teams. Take ownership and see work projects through to completion. Must be able to maintain strict confidentiality at all times.
Language Skills
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common technical information and journals, financial analysis and legal documents; Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, coworkers, regulatory agencies or members of the business community; Ability to effectively present information to senior management.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference; Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations; Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Qualification Requirements
Significant product and application knowledge of the Abrasives Industry, with a focus on metal working. Relationships with suppliers of abrasive products desired. Significant knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite required. Familiarity with NetSuite Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) a plus.
Work Environment
The work environment is a traditional office setting with recurring need to perform duties in a manufacturing/packaging/production environment; Must be very comfortable in a welding and cutting application environment; Ability/willingness to travel extensively, to include overseas, representing Forney Industries® in dealings with our direct Customers, at Trade Shows, or with our manufacturing partners.
