How will you make an impact?

The Senior Product Manager will manage the growth and direction of the handheld XRF product line for the Measurement Control and Sample Analysis business unit within the Chemical Analysis Division. The handheld XRF business includes a broad portfolio of products and serves a diverse set of markets. This position will help lead global portfolio strategies, provide market leadership in the development of innovative products, and manage day-to-day sales enablement, marketing and operations for growth and profitability.

What will you do?

  • Manages the profitability of a product family and owns the long-term product roadmap.
  • Responsible for revenue, margin, customer satisfaction, and market share objectives.
  • Develop long-range product strategies and plan for future positioning, growth, and evolution of the product platform.
  • Lead successful product launches through from concept through development and commercialization. Working closely with cross-functional teams, the Product Manager owns the ultimate customer and financial success of new product launches.
  • Manage the life cycle of the existing product portfolio. Responsibilities include multi-year product line strategies, and pricing /margin optimization.
  • Understands and communicates customer needs and actively and effectively captures VOC to drive innovation pipeline
  • Implements best practices in product marketing across a variety of markets globally, driving successful share gain
  • Develops business case for assigned products, including product launch plans, product pricing, product positioning, value proposition forecasting and channel strategy
  • Monitors competitive activity and develops winning strategies for new and existing products
  • Provides product-specific technical and marketing support to field sales organizations and channel partners
  • Drives profitability & revenue growth through sales opportunity pipeline development and proactive portfolio lifecycle management
  • Training and sales support; works with Downstream Marketing, Commercial, Service and other resources to provide product line training and support

How will you get here? Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree required in business, marketing, or scientific field


  • 5+ years’ experience in a similar product management or marketing role including experience in product line management, and strategic marketing
  • Experience launching products within a stage gate environment
  • Experience in forecasting revenue and margin impacts of strategic proposals
  • Experience working within a matrixed organization to drive product development and launch plans working with other departments such as R&D, downstream marketing, commercial and operations

  • Strong project management skills
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail; ability to step back and analyze the overall business impact and then make appropriate decisions

  • Strong verbal and written communications skills and ability to support business unit executives with analysis and presentations
  • Strong skills in PowerPoint and Excel
  • Up to 25% travel
