The CGI team is also focused on building innovative and cutting-edge capabilities that will drive subscriptions, engagement, and monetization across Disney’s streaming and digital products.

Job Summary

Disney Entertainment and ESPN Technology is seeking a Senior Manager, Product Management role within its Commerce, Growth and Identity (CGI) organization. This is a leadership role focused on enabling data team with best-in-class capabilities to power acquisition marketing use cases. Products developed by the data team will enable data-driven decision making, in-depth analysis of marketing performance and its impact on subscriber acquisition, retention, and growing revenue for Disney’s flagship streaming brands including Disney+, ESPN+, Hulu, Star+, and Hotstar.

Successful candidates will have experience in technical product management developing tools for data management, activation, and reporting for digital media, multi-touch attribution, media mix modeling, and multi-channel performance reporting in acquisition marketing domain. This role will lead a team of product managers and will report to the Vice President, Data Product Management. This role will partner closely with senior leadership across marketing, engineering, analytics, consumer products, data science, and finance to develop forward-looking strategies that leverage Disney’s data assets and capabilities to maximize subscriber growth, help build excellent user experience and engage our customers in innovative ways.

Responsibilities:

  • Define and execute the vision, mission, and overall strategy for the Acquisition Marketing Solutions Data Product Management team.
  • Develop and maintain critical business relationships throughout the organization, ensure senior leaders are consistently well informed about business priorities, capabilities, timelines, issues, and releases
  • Guide product managers in best practices for agile SDLC, ensure all data products are expertly planned, executed, and supported throughout their life cycles
  • Build strategic relationships with key technology and business partners to ensure program success.
  • Partner with Analytics, Data Science, Data Architecture, Data Quality & Governance, Engineering teams, Product Design, and other Technical Program Management team members to develop, test, and deliver high quality products and features
  • Lead and drive teams on all business readiness activities, including product planning, sequencing, testing, user education, rollout, iteration, and support
  • Ensure teams are consistently developing and documenting detailed product requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and success measures
  • Lead efforts to identify risks, resolve key blockers, and establish appropriate resolution paths
  • Fill in gaps across roles and functions as needed, performing as an adaptive problem solver
  • Champion a collaborative work environment that cultivates shared understanding, transparency, autonomy, innovation, and continuous learning
  • Possess strong knowledge of data, BI/analytics, and related technology vendors and ecosystems, with ability to drive technology strategy and build vs. buy discussions to successful resolution

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 10 years experience in product management, data engineering, solution architecture or relevant technical field
  • Minimum of 3 years management experience leading technical teams
  • Experience with marketing technology or data management technology in support of marketing/advertising or similar
  • Experience working directly with data engineering teams, managing engineering roadmaps, and communicating technical information to senior executives
  • Highly analytical and collaborative qualities with strong technical, strategic and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced operational environment where change is the norm
  • Working knowledge of social platform tools (like Meta Ads Manager, DV360, Snapchat Ads Manager, X) is desirable
  • Experience presenting to and working with senior leaders
  • Knowledge of Software Development Lifecycle and Agile development practices

The hiring range for this position in Santa Monica & Glendale, California is $180,646 to $242,330 per year, New York, New York is $189,256 to $253,880 per year, and in San Francisco, CA is $197,866 to $265,430 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
