The Learning team is part of the Human Resources function at JPMorgan Chase and is at the forefront of upskilling our workforce in order to help employees achieve their career dreams. We’ve been on a transformation journey to restructure learning delivery into various ‘Skills Academies’ and adopt a Product Operating Model to drive improvements to the learner experience. These approaches rely on identifying and measuring business outcomes, engaging in agile ways of working, and regularly reporting on the Learn Product narrative to senior stakeholders and executive audiences.

As a Vice President Product Manager at JPMorgan Chase for the JPMC Tech Academy you lead innovation through the development of products and features that delight customers. You leverage your advanced capabilities to challenge traditional approaches, remove barriers to success, and foster a culture of continuous innovation that helps inspire cross-functional teams create groundbreaking solutions that address customer needs.

Job Responsibilities

  • Establish a product vision based on the business priorities, user needs, and market trends to advance research and proposal efforts for Learning products
  • Map the strategic path forward in a product roadmap that strikes the proper balance between business value, user needs, and technology strategy; Evangelize this product roadmap to ensure transparency and buy-in from executive leadership and firmwide stakeholders
  • Build strong working relationships with UX Research & Design, Software Engineering, and Operations leads to define product direction and deliver on the roadmap
  • Define budget and resource allocation proposals with UX and Software Engineering and lead business case creation and socialization for investment needs
  • Define, track, and measure success of the product based upon Key Performance Indicators and Objectives and Key Results
  • Be the expert on your product users and their environments through developed empathy, create a holistic listening strategy to measure user sentiment (CSATs), and leverage emerging trends in customer support issues to drive prioritization
  • Be the expert on the product and able to answer the toughest questions about how it works
  • Own backlog management, use a prioritization framework to evaluate diverse features, and play the product owner role in scrum delivery framework decomposing features into discrete user stories
  • Lead prototyping efforts in partnership with UX to test designs with users prior to initiating build ensuring we build the right thing first
  • Prepare the organization for upcoming releases by managing UAT testing cycles, conducting demos and providing training
  • Raise awareness of proper processes to increase product adoption (publishing job aids, self-help guides, FAQs, in-app guidance, etc.) and publish content as appropriate via firmwide channels (firmwide help, intranet, etc.)

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills

  • 5+ years of experience or equivalent expertise delivering products, projects, or technology applications
  • Experience as a Product Owner on a SCRUM team
  • Development tracking tools (Confluence and JIRA)
  • Extensive knowledge of the product development life cycle, technical design, and data analytics
  • Proven ability to influence the adoption of key product life cycle activities including discovery, ideation, strategic development, requirements definition, and value management
  • Experience driving change within organizations and managing stakeholders across multiple functions

  • Excellent presentation and communication skills at all levels of the organization including the ability to quickly gain credibility with senior level management
