About the Role…
The primary reason consumers choose DoorDash is that we provide the best selection of merchants. You’ll build products to identify and fill gaps in our offerings such as specific restaurants, food items, and underserved communities of consumers that will help us maintain selection leadership in every market. Another way you’ll grow selection is by helping merchants increase their same store sales by enabling them to create virtual delivery-only brands.
Given the three-sided nature of the DoorDash marketplace, you’ll need to think holistically and understand the business deeply to set the right long term strategy. You’ll talk with consumers, dashers, and merchants to understand their unique needs. And then work with a dedicated team of operators, engineers, designers, data scientists and analysts to turn these needs into products that are loved by our merchants.
Help DoorDash to continue maintain and expand selection leadership in every market
Drive “visible from space” impact that takes DoorDash to new heights
Drive the product definition, strategy, and long term vision. You own the roadmap
Work closely with cross-functional teams of designers, operators, data scientists and engineers
Communicate product plans, benefits and results to key stakeholders including leadership team
You have experience working in a highly cross-functional environment and can build products that require coordination across various teams
You’ve prior experience building products that use machine learning
You’re always focused on the user, and have a keen sense for what will create delight and magic in the products you create
Clear, concise, and thorough written and oral communication skills
Experience analyzing and using data to inform decisions
5+ years of product management experience. Additional engineering or data science experience is a plus!
