Our Trust & Safety team’s commitment is to keep our online community safe. We have invested heavily in human and machine-based moderation to remove harmful content quickly and often before it reaches our general community.

As a Product Manager Lead on our Youth Safety & Wellbeing team, you will develop product strategy and grow to manage a team of product managers. You will help drive our age assurance measures, working with teams of engineers, data scientists, operations, product policies, and various relevant internal teams to build safety product features and processes. You will work closely with policy leaders, product managers, engineers and data scientists around the world to design comprehensive strategies and plans. You will work with engineering to design, build, test, and launch features, and then continue to monitor and improve them after they ship, keeping our users safe as new threats and opportunities evolve.

Responsibilities
– Own ideation, prioritization, and execution for a critical area of TikTok Youth Safety & Wellbeing, which may encompass age assurance or related topics.
– Design, build, test, launch, and manage critical features, deep diving into user needs and owning feature sets end-to-end, including defining value to key stakeholder groups and setting measurement strategies.
– Work cross-functionally, building synergy and influence with multiple departments within Trust and Safety, Legal, Public Policy, Communications, Core Product and other teams, globally.
– Collaborate across global product, program, and regional teams to define the product roadmap and work with our partner teams to make product, technical, and privacy decisions.
– Assist with internal and external research efforts to keep the team up-to-date on industry trends and emerging issues related to age assurance product solutions in the digital media space.
– Familiarize yourself and educate others on global legislation relevant to age assurance in digital media spaces.
– Grow to lead a team of product managers to effectively drive the product vision and strategy at TikTok scale.

It is possible that this role will be exposed to harmful content as part of the core role/as part of project/ in response to escalation requests/by chance.

Qualifications

– 5+ years in product management; experience hiring and growing teams of product managers
– 2+ years relevant experience — in Trust and Safety, minor safety, or other relevant experience
– Ability to succinctly describe your vision and highlight roadblocks to an executive audience, bringing desired coordination outcomes.
– Evidence-based, analytical, data-informed. You understand the imperative of using data to support decision-making and to drive prioritization (and therefore resourcing decisions) for continuous product improvement.
– A scrappy energy and willingness to pitch in and help on work across the team.
– A sense of user empathy. Global vision and empathy, passion, a drive to achieve, humility facing the depth of unknown.

Job Information:

?For Pay Transparency?Compensation Description (annually)The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $210000 – $414000 annually.

Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
