The Position

Product Managers manage products throughout their lifecycle and guide them through DH’s Design and Development processes. Product Managers provide managerial support for product development via coordinating the implementation of the strategy for the development of the product. Product managers serve as the voice for the product for the company and are a hub for all functions within PHC in relation to the product. Product Managers will work closely with Quality Assurance, Regulatory Affairs, Engineering, Design, and Clinical Affairs to ensure the products under their management meet the minimal requirements outlined by DH’s Quality Management System.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Define and drive product strategy, vision, and roadmap for the product and related operations
  • Define user-stories and functional requirements, develop detailed product specifications and associated timelines for all aspects of the product
  • Manage backlog of priorities for future development and reprioritize as necessary
  • Generate documentation to communicate product vision to development team
  • Work cross-functionally with other functional teams at PHC to ensure that the design and engineering teams is delivering products of the quality, of the depth/breadth, and in a timeframe that aligns with our commercial goals and customer needs
  • Responsible for setting the right KPIs and targets for your team and driving significant impact to your customers
  • Drive improvements to the product given clinical, regulatory, and user experience priorities
  • Coordinate testing of iterative product releases and incorporate learnings into design “improvements for the product
  • Ensure that the product architecture and technology decisions support emerging trends and future directions of the product
  • Provide input into the continued improvement of company practices and procedures
  • Fluency in and adherence to PHC’s Quality Policy and Quality System
  • Continuously advance the understanding of customer personas & their problems/needs and validate the desirability of product enhancements
Qualifications:
  • 3-5 years in technical product management of consumer and/or enterprise products (hardware/software/services) within multi-disciplinary teams at the intersection of science and/or advanced technology with a track record of shipping products
  • Technical background: Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field; additional experience with product development a plus
  • Ability to quickly understand technical concepts and communicate effectively with both engineers and other functions on technical topics
  • Strong empathy for customers and a passion for problem solving
  • Comfort with ambiguity; ability to build compelling products in emerging categories where customer and clinical requirements are not well-defined
  • Experience working with software development and ability to pick up new development approaches quickly
  • Deep understanding of cloud platform, enterprise software and services, API integration, databases, analytics, mobile and consumer applications, device integration, and UX (Mobile, Device, and Dashboards)
  • Expertise in developing digital products using Human Centered Design techniques, specifically ideation, prototyping and working directly with users and user researchers to design a product meeting users needs
  • Self-starter, able to manage work streams autonomously
  • Willingness to help address of urgent company needs
