This is a hybrid remote position which will require the candidate to report and work from the office on bi-monthly basis, or more frequently, such as in the event of a department-wide meeting, depending on business necessity. McLane is developing eCommerce services including a business-to-business website and ecommerce fulfillment solution. Retailers (including convenience stores, mass merchants, drug stores and chain restaurants) will be provided with ways to reduce cost and fulfill in an omni channel environment.
Scale and manage eCommerce products across their full lifecycle. Work with functional experts, leadership, and key subject matter experts to further identify and prioritize customer areas for improvement and best practice change management. Serve as a lead on one or more critical initiatives at any given time, guiding the project teams, driving appropriate analyses, meeting project goals, managing timelines and working closely with leadership to successfully implement new processes, technology, or strategy. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (including engineering, design, marketing, and sales) to deliver exceptional digital experiences that drive revenue growth and customer satisfaction.
Essential Job Functions / Principal Accountabilities
Gather needs and dependencies across the organization to inform product vision, strategy, and roadmap.Conduct root cause analysis and work to develop solutions/ improvement plans.Define the product vision, strategy, business case, and roadmap for assigned e-commerce products.Socialize and update the product vision, strategy, and roadmap with key stakeholders to inform business and growth strategy.Function as the voice of the customer in strategic and executional decisions. Speak to existing and potential customers, conduct market research, and analyze competitors to identify customer needs and opportunities for product enhancements.Collaborate closely with the engineering team to understand technology options and technical debt, prioritize, and execute the product backlog, ensure timely, high-quality, and sustainable product releases, and address defects.Continuously gather data and analyze to drive data-informed product strategy and optimizations.Work closely with UX/UI designers to create intuitive and user-friendly product interfaces.Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to develop go-to-market strategies, product positioning, and promotional materials.Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate product performance and identify areas for improvement.Function as the main point of contact between e-commerce support teams (including external vendors) and leadership stakeholders.Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in e-commerce, B2B products, and customer experience to drive innovation and maintain a competitive edge.Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications And Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field with 5 or more years’ distribution experience.3 or more years product management experience.Strong understanding of product management principles, methodologies, and best practices.Advance MSOffice skills particularly Excel required.Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage deadlines, and adapt to changing circumstances.Strong communication, critical thinking, planning, and problem-solving skills.Process improvement mindset, strategic agility, and follow through.Team facilitation and leadership skills.Ability to influence organizational change.
