Summary

As part of the Dataworks team, you will be developing and managing data-driven solutions that are transforming the fabric of FedEx. You will be part of a team of change-agents that embrace the “art of the possible” by taking a data-driven approach to creating new opportunities for the enterprise.

With leadership support but limited supervision, this individual is responsible for:
  • Defining the product roadmap and executing on features of service for data-driven products, with ownership of the entire process from ideation through product delivery and management
  • Understanding needs of end-users, focusing on solving end-user problems, and incorporating market feedback into the product roadmap
  • Working collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including research and design, engineering, data science, and sales, to deliver an exceptional experiences backed by robust product capabilities
  • Embracing diversity of thought
  • Facilitating fearless communication amongst product stakeholders, with the ability to articulate ideas with outstanding storytelling
  • Fostering an entrepreneurial spirit while leveraging the power of a global organization, allowing you to execute large, complex product development initiatives
During a week on the job the successful candidate may perform the following activities:
  • Present a product update to senior leadership which effectively ties in the user experience as well as the value to both the enterprise and our customer
  • Work with other technical stakeholders to quickly understand, and resolve, technical blockers that are negatively impacting the product timeline
  • Engage team members from engineering, research, partner strategy, operations, sales, support and/or data science to advance the development of a product roadmap
  • Play a leading role in a strategic conversation, centered around our products, with a major retailer or brand that includes their supply chain and/or e-commerce decision makers
  • Provide an alternative perspective to leadership, with a well-researched and compelling storyline, about a product’s fit within the broader portfolio
  • Coordinate with development teams, and actively participate in a demo session, to track progress
  • Collaborate with a product management peer on an ad hoc strategic request
Skills/Knowledge/Experience Considered a Plus
  • Understanding of how technology can support supply chain optimization and ultimately leads to improvements in both consumer experience and retailer KPIs
  • Creative thinker with “storytelling” skills and a knack for explaining highly-technical products and concepts in layman’s terms
  • Product Management experience building large-scale, technology capabilities with experience on platform products
  • Knowledge of the digital landscape, including market dynamics and advancements driving consumer expectations in retail and e-commerce
  • Strong critical thinking and strategic thinking abilities (being able to look at the big picture and get into details)
  • Proven ability to lead with minimal direction on projects where little institutional knowledge exists
  • Ability to thrive in demanding and relatively unstructured environments
  • Demonstrated ability to network with peers and all levels of management and to collaborate cross functionally across the corporation
  • High level of positive energy, enthusiasm, and self-motivation
  • Track record of outstanding performance
Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalency in Product Marketing, Economics, Business, or related field. Three (3) years’ work experience in functions focused on product management, market analysis or research, or equivalent. Knowledge of competitive, market and economic factors affecting product performance and ability to perform fact based data analysis. Strong communication and presentation skills, quantitative, problem structuring & solving skills. Strong executive presence and human relations skills. Strong project management experience. A directly related Master’s Degree is equivalent to two (2) years experience. More advanced degrees may offset experience requirements.

This position can be domiciled anywhere in the United States.
