Job Summary

To maximize sales of Healthcare Solutions and Custom Label Products divisions in North America and Internationally through strategic planning, new product development and private label partnerships, promotions, pricing, forecasting, sales support, and Sales & Customer Service training.

Essential Job Functions

Marketing and Sales Support:

  • Assume P&L responsibilities for all products under management
  • Identify weaknesses in existing marketing campaigns and develop pragmatic solutions within budgetary constraints
  • Communicate with senior management about marketing initiatives and project metrics
  • Develop new marketing strategies for new markets
  • Provide competitive information on products and quality issues with customers
  • Forecasting and budget development
  • Development of sales and customer literature, promotions and communications pieces
  • Development of Customer Service programs; for example, product specialist training and up- and cross-selling techniques
  • Development of packaging and cost improvement programs regarding packaging
  • Work to maintain prices and develop selling strategies to prevent the decline in prices
  • Monitor business/market trends and recommend appropriate action
  • Develop business lines and manage products within them
  • Collaborate with other business functions to develop and improve new and existing product lines based on market and customer information
  • Participate in formal presentations on product line to management groups and at Sales/Marketing meetings
  • Develop hands-on, in-depth knowledge of competitive products, and maintain technical analysis of competitive strengths and weaknesses providing in depth analysis of the market, industry, and competitors
  • Work extensively with sales representatives in their territories to assist in selling products to learn more of customer needs and to provide training to the sales force
  • Support and attend industry trade shows

New Product Development/Introductions

  • Lead a new product team from concept to sales, working with customers for their input. Also, working with internal cross functional teams to ensure product is consistently available
  • Develop skills in market opportunity analysis for reviewing and selecting projects for development
  • Develop marketing research sources and techniques for gathering accurate and quantitative information on market sizes, competitor sales and evaluating opportunities for sales
  • Aid in conducting on-site evaluations for new products, including (if necessary) trips to evaluation sites and in-service presentations

Requirements

  • Minimum three (3) years’ experience in business (marketing, finance or sales)
  • Prefer experience in marketing and/or product management
  • Minimum four (4) year degree in a business field
  • MBA degree desired
  • May require up to 25% travel
