About This Role
Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Product Manager in Deposit Products Group within Consumer, Small & Business Banking to serve as a business professional expected to run with many responsibilities required in the day-to-day. This role will provide product ownership support within an agile/scrum team to the Consumer Global Remittance Services business. In This Role You Will Serve as a Product Owner for a dedicated development team which includes: Translate business goals into functional strategies and tactical user stories for the development team to implement Articulate user stories with clear business value Groom and prioritize the backlog Create & define the product vision and strategy Manage the team roadmap Assess impact of new features and initiatives by understanding the customer needs and the portfolio of services. Act as an ambassador for your product, support product related queries, and proactively engage with implementation teams Lead complex initiatives including establishing marketing programs for new products or enhancements Review and analyze complex major product lines and services Implement change delivery solutions for the portfolio’s technology process work of low to moderate complexity Make decisions in complex and multi-faceted situations of global market dynamics, trends, and regulatory impact Oversee risk management to meet deliverables and drive new initiatives Collaborate and consult with managers, stakeholders, scrum masters, project managers, and delivery team to resolve issues and achieve project goals Lead projects, teams, or serve as a mentor to less experienced staff Managing tradeoffs and executing day to day backlog prioritization and refinement; defining release plans aligned to the product strategy and Roadmap. Required Qualifications:
5+ years of Product Management, product development, strategic planning, process management, change delivery experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education Desired Qualifications:
3+ years of experience as a Product Owner Knowledge of Waterfall and Agile/Speed to Market project methodologies 3+ years of financial services experience Knowledge and understanding of product or program management, development of roadmaps, strategies, and management of products ranging from concepts in ideation through to market delivery. Understanding of the cross-border payments marketplace and ability to navigate the complex risk, compliance, and legal aspects of this environment. Demonstrated ability to identify risks and opportunities and deliver relevant information to business leaders Experience with one or more Agile tools used for tracking user stories or backlogs, such as Confluence or Jira, and Jira Align Experience with User Acceptance Testing (UAT) Experience with working and/or supporting Agile Scrum Teams Strong leadership and analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment Key enabler for strategic change; influential in how we operate and service our customers Demonstrated effectiveness and collaborative partner with superlative executive presence and credibility and effective decision-making/critical thinking/problem solving skill that is execution-focused and results oriented. Ability to capture and document complex business and functional requirements Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills Ability to develop partnerships and collaborate with other business and functional areas Ability to take initiative and work independently with minimal supervision in a structured environment Effective communication & negotiation skills across all levels of the organization and a spirit of building strong business and team partnerships is essential, including ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical people.
