Skills Breakdown

Skyven Technologies, an Energy-as-a-Service company focused on cutting CO2 emissions related to industrial process heating, is hiring a Heat Pump Product Engineering Manager.

About The Job

We are looking for a product developer with a process engineering mindset or process engineer with a product development mindset. In this role, you must drive the design and assist with the manufacturing of Skyven’s Family of Heat Pump program. The family design approach allows for a single manufacturing line and qualification process to address a range of customer specifications. To be successful in this role, you should have in-depth knowledge of steam generating heat pumps, compressor/heat pump specifications, steam and steam properties, and industrial manufacturing equipment and controls.

About The Opportunity

Industrial process heating is currently responsible for ~15% of annual global GHG emissions, which is roughly equivalent to all of transportation (including land, sea, and air). This material risk is also a largely untapped, massive opportunity – with an estimated $3.7 trillion in capital required to support industrial decarbonization by 2050 (IRENA, BNEF).

About The Company

Skyven is poised for rapid growth in this market, having recently closed an institutional seed round led by VoLo Earth Ventures and Global Founders Capital. In addition, the company has established project finance backing of up to $100M annually. The company is founded by Dr. Arun Gupta, a leading expert whose work has been awarded over $20M in public funding on industrial decarbonization.
