The Team

We are seeking an experienced, energetic, and collaborative Product Manager to join the Global Insight & Analytics team, part of the Market Intelligence division of S&P Global. Global Insight & Analytics offer a rich tapestry of capabilities across our business, but all share a common thread: we provide our customers a horizonal view of the geographies, sectors, and environments that shape the world in which they, their suppliers, and their customers operate.

You will help manage a mature agile development team providing economic data, forecasts and analysis to a global client base. Your analytical and project management skills will be of immediate and ongoing value to the team. This is an excellent opportunity for a Product Analyst to develop industry knowledge within a fast growing, global financial technology organization.

What You’ll Do

  • Develop a deep understanding of our industry, clients, and product management
  • Provide product assistance and troubleshooting to external clients and end users
  • Develop a deep understanding of our economic data and analysis products, internal data framework, and data delivery channels
  • Collaborate across teams with developers and stakeholders to develop and refine economic data and analysis products
  • Create and maintain product documentation – release notes, training materials, etc.
  • Write user stories to define new application features and workflows
  • Execute sprints, adhering to definitions of Ready and Done and assuring quality
  • Participate in and help continuously improve our agile software development process
  • Build deep partnership with test team members to assure high quality
  • Participate in cross-program collaboration on new initiatives

What We Look For

  • 0-2+ years of product management experience. 4-6 years of professional experience
  • A background or previous role in economic research or economic data is essential
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Individuals who are self-motivated, take initiative, and welcome the challenge of problem solving
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with developers and project stakeholders
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task projects of short, medium, and long-term time ranges
  • Flexibility to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Collaborate and work well within multiple organizational and functional departments
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Experience with data analytics and reporting
  • Familiarity with agile product development lifecycle an advantage
  • Ability to work with diagramming and/or wireframing tools like Balsamiq an advantage

Compensation/Benefits Information (US Applicants Only)

S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary for this position is $80,000 – $105,000 depending on experience. Base salary ranges may vary by geographic location. In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan.
