SquadLocker’s Data Product Manager will be responsible for managing the development and implementation of our data products and overseeing the full lifecycle of how data is used across the company. In this role, you will focus on collecting, organizing, storing and sharing data within the organization and will work cross-functionally to manage the data development and deployment process. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Data Engineers, Data Analysts and Stakeholders, to define product requirements, prioritize features and deliver valuable data solutions to our internal team.
Utilizing your technical expertise, business acumen and project management skills, you will work to ensure the organization of our data products. You will lead the planning, development and management of data-driven products and services that align with our strategic goals across the company.
Qualified candidates must understand the software development lifecycle and should be versed in NetSuite and HubSpot. Additionally, our DPM must be a data expert with an understanding of how to capture data, extract from databases, improve its integrity, integrate with other data and clearly articulate the technical specifications needed. Candidates should be well-versed in basic statistics and data/modeling requirements. The DPM must be business orientated and familiar with data/analytics, in addition to being able to lead a diverse team.
The Data Product Manager plays a critical role in ensuring that data-related products and services meet business objectives, user needs and compliance requirements. This role often requires a balance between technical expertise and business acumen, making it a key driver of data-driven innovation within SquadLocker.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define product requirements, prioritize features, ensure successful completion of the Product roadmap and deliver valuable data solutions to our internal teamCoordinate across departments and units, managing diverse teams, exercising influence and understanding customer needsDevelop and maintain a clear and cohesive data product strategy that aligns with objectives and business needsCollaborate with stakeholders, including business leaders and end-users, to understand their data-related needs and translate them into actionable product requirements; Understand priorities, write requirements, design data models and reportsCreate and manage a product roadmap that outlines the prioritized features, enhancements and releases for the data productUtilize Jira to lead teams, delegate work and emphasize prioritiesEnsure all teams understand work queue and prioritization via daily standups, retrospectives and sprint-planning Oversee data collection, storage, and quality assurance processes to ensure data accuracy, reliability and securityUtilize data analysis and insights to identify opportunities for product improvements and enhancementsDefine and track KPIs to measure the success and impact of the data productEnsure that data products comply with relevant data privacy regulations and security standardsCreate and maintain product documentation, including user guides and release notesConduct bi-directional translation between business needs and solutions that can address them
